Thanks to some very generous and wonderful friends I have received $1000 towards the trip! I have passed on $500 of that to TMI already - well before the 4th. I do feel bad thought because I don't know how to express my gratitude. When people hand me envelopes with their support I just stand there grinning, probably looking a little goofy. Sometimes I wish I spoke another language that has much better words to thank people, but even that probably wouldn't help much!
I have been writing thank you notes this afternoon but I can only come up with a few sentences and I get frustrated at my lack of words. I also want to say a huge thank you to the people who have been praying for me, without their prayers this would not be possible.
I would like to share something that has happened. Last Friday I had $100 and I said to a friend that I was beginning to be concerned at how I was going to get the $300 by the 4th of August. When I got home after school there was $150 waiting for me, now it isn't even August (a few more hours to go!) and I already have over 3 times as much. I feel like God is saying to me, "Don't you trust me? Are you going to limit me? Let me show you what I can do. Let me show you how much more I can do!" It has been a humbling and amazing experience so far - and I still have many month to go. Then after that I have the rest of my life - however long that may be! I am getting all excited just thinking about what God might choose to do with my life!
